B&A Compare Privacy Policy

The short version: B&A Compare has no account and no server, and it does not track you. Your photos and edits stay on your phone. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else. A photo or video only leaves your phone when you save or share it yourself.

What the app uses, and why

• Camera, to take your before and after photos.
• Location, while you use the app, to tag each photo with the GPS coordinates where it was taken, so it shows on the map in Photos and can carry a proof-of-work stamp. This is optional; the app works without it.
• Adding to Photos, to save the photos and video you export. Picking a photo from your library uses Apple's picker, which only gives the app the photo you choose.
• Notifications, only if you ask for a reminder to take an after photo. Reminders are scheduled on your phone.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no servers and no analytics. It shares nothing with third parties. Everything it stores lives in the app's own storage on your device, and deleting the app deletes all of it.

When you share

Photos and videos you save or share carry the GPS coordinates and time they were taken, if you leave "Job location" on. You can turn it off on the share screen. What happens after you share is up to the app or person you shared with.

Children

The app is not aimed at children and collects no information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
